An electric fence is a great option to deter animals from entering or escaping your fenced area. This option provides more protection as the entire length of the wire includes a deterrent with an electric current. There are several options.
Using our patent-pending, self-grounding T-Post Topper™ makes adding electric wire to your T-Post fence quicker and easier than ever before. When opting for an electric fence, you will need some additional accessories:
- T-Post Toppers™ provides a quick way to install your additional height and lines of wire; being self-grounding, they eliminate the need for more material than most electric fence options.
- Use a low voltage alert or any other voltage tester to alert you if the fence has low voltage or a loss of power.
- Cut-out switch is beneficial as it cuts the power to a specific section of fence where you don’t want current to flow. This is helpful if you need to perform maintenance on sections of an electric fence.
- T-Post gate anchor Insulators for gates stop the electric current so the gate can be used safely.
- T-Post Extender Insulators protect your existing fence from electric current and hold the new electric wire away from the metal posts.
- AC/DC or AC energizers add the electric current to your fence.
- Politape is an option for electric wire to provide greater visibility for livestock.
Protect yourself and your family safely. ALWAYS read instructions and safety information before beginning any electrical project.
