T-Post height options
Deciding on your fence height depends on several factors. Building for Livestock? Your fence should be a minimum height of the animal’s shoulder. How’s your soil? Also plan for environment, weather, and possible predators.
T-Post are typically available from 5.5’ to 10’. Adding the T-Post Topper™ will also add an additional 10 inches in total height. To assure your T-Post are properly secured always purchase a minimum of 2 feet longer than your desired fence height.
T-Post weight options
A standard T-Post weighs 1.25lbs per foot and can be used for general applications. The Heavy-Duty T-Post, weighing approximately 1.33lbs per foot, would be recommended for large livestock and other possible high-pressure situations. The standard distance between posts is between 8’ and 12’; again, this depends on your fence’s purpose. We recommend you use the same number of T-Post Topper™ as the installed T-Post, ensuring your wires stay taught and secure.
Fencing Wire
The beauty of a T-Post installed fence is not only the simplicity but the strength and longevity when installed properly. Not sure which fencing wire to purchase?
